A minimalist, typography-led design system for a modern music radio station, capturing the essence of sound through structured, geometric forms.
The Context/Challenge JoCo, a music radio station, needed a visual identity to stand out in a visually noisy broadcasting landscape. The core challenge was to design a recognizable, professional logo design that visually communicated rhythm and musicality without relying on cliché audio icons.

The Creative Solution To solve this, I developed a clean, modern logotype where elongated, geometric letterforms subtly mimic the rising and falling bars of an audio equalizer. This typography-led design ensures a timeless aesthetic while establishing a distinctive visual rhythm that anchors the brand. Both flat minimalist and premium metallic executions were crafted to provide the station with versatile marketing assets across all platforms.
Key Deliverables * Logo Design: A primary flat wordmark for everyday use, and a secondary 3D metallic rendering for high-impact placements.
- Visual Identity: Structural guidelines focusing on typography, spacing, and high-contrast color applications.
- Marketing Assets: Scalable brand elements optimized for both digital streaming interfaces and physical merchandise.
Technical Stack Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
Project Impact This refined identity elevates JoCo’s market positioning, establishing them as a sophisticated voice in the music industry while adding a highly functional case study to a strong portfolio.
