Minimalist Supplement Packaging & Brand Identity | Novium-9

Project Overview

Novium-9 is a premium brain health dietary supplement designed to support memory, focus, and long-term cognitive performance. The goal of this project was to design a label that stands out in the crowded Amazon supplement market while clearly communicating the product category and maintaining a highly credible, science-driven aesthetic.

Challenge

The design needed to achieve several objectives simultaneously:

  • Instantly communicate the category with a strong “BRAIN” visual anchor
  • Convey a clinical, research-backed feel rather than marketing hype
  • Stand out on Amazon product pages while remaining clean and premium
  • Maintain strict FDA compliance requirements for supplement labeling
  • Fit complex information such as the Supplement Facts panel into limited space while preserving legibility and avoiding microprint

In addition, the final label had to work within the manufacturer’s precise die lines and print templates, ensuring the front panel remained clean when photographed for Amazon listings.

Design Approach

The Minimalist Supplement Packaging centers around a clean, proprietary brain icon that visually reinforces the product’s purpose at a glance. The typography and layout emphasize clarity and hierarchy, with bold category signaling at the top and structured information sections below.

The visual system uses a red, black, and white palette, chosen to create a strong contrast and convey a premium, scientific character that differentiates the product from the softer beige, green, and blue palettes common in the supplement category.

Special attention was given to:

  • Information hierarchy for quick scanning
  • Legibility at small sizes within FDA-required sections
  • Precise layout alignment across the front and side panels
  • Integrating elements like a QR code and a call-to-action to drive customers from Amazon to the brand’s website

Final Result

The final label delivers a bold, minimalist supplement packaging clinical aesthetic that clearly positions Novium-9 as a research-driven cognitive supplement. The design balances strong shelf impact with regulatory accuracy, producing a production-ready label optimized for both Amazon presentation and high-quality print manufacturing.
